This project is located in a redevelopment area in central Tokyo. The site is about 330m² and is a corner lot with roads on the east and south sides. It is a complex building with shared offices on the 1st and 2nd floors, apartments on the 3rd to 8th floors, a shared space for residents on the 9th floor, and a garden on the roof, with the aim of attracting creators. Due to the site’s closeness to the coastline, we relied on the word “recharge” in our design. Recharge means to nurture and cultivate slowly without forcing it, just like water seeps into nature. The sea and the mountains are connected, and recharge of water is recharge of the mountains, and recharge of the mountains is also recharge of coastal fisheries. The triangular exterior walls, which can be divided into four sizes, express the connection between the sea and the mountains, and are a niche place for creators, and also have structural functions such as adjusting sunlight and wind direction. The standard floor plan widens the shared corridor and places it on the road side, aiming to create communication between resident creators more than the typical plan of a single corridor on the back of the building. Along with the rooftop garden, the shared kitchen, bar counter, and sauna on the 9th floor also provide opportunities for interaction.
東京の都心の再開発区画内のプロジェクト。敷地は約100坪で東側と南側が接道する角地。クリエイターが集うことを指標とし、1～2Fがシェアオフィス、3～8Fが集合住宅、9Fが居住者専用シェアスペース、屋上には庭園を計画した複合施設ビル。海岸線も近い敷地の特徴から、我々は涵養という言葉を頼りにデザインを行った。涵養とは水が自然に染み込むように、無理をしないでゆっくりと養い育てること。海と山は繋がっており、水の涵養は山の涵養、そして山の涵養は沿岸漁業の涵養でもある。外壁の4つの大きさに分類できる三角形は、そんな海と山の繋がりを表現すると共に、クリエイターのニッチな居場所であり、日射や風向きの調整、構造の機能も備えている。基準階プランは共有の廊下幅を広げて道路側に配置することにより、一般的な建物裏側の片廊下配置プランよりも、居住者のクリエイター同士のコミュニケーションの創出を狙っている。屋上庭園と共に9Fに備えたシェアキッチン、バーカウンター、サウナも交流のきっかけを創出する。
